Description:

Most are familiar with the concept of “Attachment” and even know their primary attachment style. There has been great progress on identifying and remediating insecure attachment adaptations, and even modalities to assist couples in learning secure attachment.

However, as with any therapeutic frontier, there is still terrain to explore-particularly the ability to effectively build the ground of trust necessary to pair bond when there is complex trauma: The biggest challenge being distinguishing between clear and present danger and historical threat still active in ones system.

Complex trauma is specifically incurred in the attachment field, and results in neurological and psychological challenges in achieving enough parasympathetic conjunction to establish the ground of trust in a bond. In other words, it is especially difficult to be vulnerable when there is a history of trauma in the attachment field.

This one-day intensive is based on the latest research in interpersonal neurobiology and will help you and your clients differentiate current from past threat, refrain from tracking ones partner as a means to feel safe, and achieve the gold standard of a pair bond: Fearless Immobility, aka Trust.
