Mind Games

Mercury square Neptune portends our time of curated narrative and the strife caused by it. From “beautification” filters to ego-syntonic and cohesion-busting algorithms, our species has fallen victim to a virtual reality that damages real life. All sides of a multitude of important issues have been managed and manipulated by a ego-mimicing media.
No one is immune to having their brain and nervous system commandered by mind-altering mechanisms: Particularly when in the amygdala-driven state of fear.
As the biologist Eo Wilson warned, “The real problem of humanity is the following: We have Paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions and god-like technology. And it is terrifically dangerous, and it is now approaching a point of crisis overall.”
On the anniversary of the murder of John Lennon by someone driven by delusion and crippled by confirmation bias, let us stop and contemplate our own confromation bias and delusional states. Instead of plugging into the matrix, where a god-like power controls your mind, you can employ mindfulness practices to connect to God/Source/Love.
This could dramatically redirect the terrifying trajectory on which our species is.
“So keep on playing those mind games together
Doing the ritual dance in the sun
Millions of mind guerrillas
Putting their soul power to the karmic wheel
Keep on playing those mind games forever
Raising the spirit of peace and love
Love
I want you to make love, not war
I know you’ve heard it before.” ~John Lennon
